What's up everybody!!!😎 Today, I will be sharing about my experience in a recent practical I have completed. The egg-drop challenge, Practical 5. In this practical, I have partnered up with one of my best buddies in my class, AMINUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!πŸ˜ŠπŸ’ Personally, I would say that this assignment is my favourite assignment I have done so far in Singapore Polytechnic as I had a lot of fun completing it 😍. Unfortunately, beside having fun, I also faced many challenges and obstacles along the way πŸ˜–. At the start of the practical, Aminur and I were very determined and confident to come up with the most complexed design. However, in the end, we had 4 different designs as many of them failed which was very demoralising 😭😭😭. Anyways, I will begin with showing you guys our final design! HELLO! I have finally returned to blogging ever since term break started HAHA😝.  Today, I will be sharing about what I have learned in the first 2 lessons in this new term. Firstly, in the first lesson, I learned about Materials for Design (MFD). While, in the second lesson, I learned about Design for Materials (DFM) and sustainable design. In the beginning, I was very confused about the first 2 topics (MFD & DFM) as they sound so similar, but I quickly learn that they are both two very different things.

Welcome back to my blog! This is my second time writing a blog and I will be sharing the things I learned in week 4. In week 4, we were introduced to SCAMPER 😱 . SCAMPER is a quick, easy and direct form of creative brainstorming. You use it by asking questions about existing products, using each of the seven prompts above. These questions help you come up with creative ideas for developing new products, and for improving current ones. SCAMPER is an acronym that stands for: S - Substitution C - Combine A - Adapt M - Modify P - Put to Another Use E - Eliminate R - Reverse My group's SCAMPER progress and outcome Thanks to the guiding questions given for each letters of SCAMPER, it made it easier for my group to come up with new ideas using SCAMPER.  My group came up with 4 new ideas using 3 out of the 7 letters in SCAMPER. We used S ubsitute, C ombine and R everse. The 4 ideas we came up with are: S ubstitute coconut fibre with banana corm S ubstitute sand with calcite C omb...
